To successfully remove a motorcycle swing arm bushing (#4 on the CB750 drawing), you’ll need the following:
- a 15mm socket
- a 3/8 bolt that is 2.5 inches long
- a hammer
Place the swing arm in a vice with wooden inserts to protect the metal swing arm. Make sure to secure the swing arm in a position to maximize the force that you hammering will put on the bushing. Set the socket on the bushing, place the bolt through the socket to center it on the bushing (and save your socket), and start hammering away.
